PLANS LODGED FOR BOWLING ALLEY IN LANDMARK BUILDING
An application to turn part of a landmark building in Hull into a bowling alley and games bar has been lodged with the city council.
Lane 7 Ltd is looking to take over the former Hammonds building in Paragon Square. The building closed in March last year.
If approved, bowling lanes, karaoke rooms, beer pong, shuffle board and arcade games would be installed on the ground floor.
The building, previously known as Hammonds of Hull, opened as a food hall in December 2021 following the closure of the House of Fraser department store
The operator currently runs venues in Manchester, Birmingham, Bath, Newcastle, Sheffield, Leicester, Aberdeen, Liverpool, London, Edinburgh, Bristol and Durham.
According to the Local Democracy Reporting Service, the venue would serve alcohol from 10:00 - 01:00 Monday to Sunday.
It would become an adult-only venue from 19:00 when identification would be required for entry.
In February, plans were announced to create office and events space in the basement and on the third and fourth floors.
